Two Weeks of Strategic Support and SharePoint Innovation

Over the past two weeks, I’ve focused on advancing several key initiatives across ATLAS, with particular attention to SharePoint optimization, documentation refinement, and collaborative support. Here’s a summary of the work completed:
🔍 DLM SharePoint & Website Enhancement Projects
- Continued development of the DLM SharePoint Enhancement Proposal, incorporating feedback from previous drafts and aligning with ATLAS documentation standards.
- Initiated the DLM Website Enhancement Project, focusing on HTML/CSS audits, broken link tracking, and accessibility improvements.
- Provided detailed documentation to support proposed changes, including examples and technical justifications for review.
📊 Audits and Technical Deep Dives
- Conducted extensive SharePoint site audits, evaluating over 200 sites for structure, permissions, and content relevance.
- Created comparison spreadsheets between internal site inventories and KU IT records to identify discrepancies and streamline cleanup efforts.
- Reviewed DEIB-affiliated folders and documents, initiating requests for removal or clarification where appropriate.
🤝 Team Collaboration and Support
- Participated in multiple meetings, including:
- Implementation Team
- SharePoint Group
- 1:1 check-ins
- Logistics Technology discussions
- Provided support to colleagues across ATLAS, including HR, communications, and IT, with tasks ranging from permission troubleshooting to external user documentation.
🧠 Strategic Planning and Documentation
- Responded to comments on the Strategic Plan for Internal SharePoint Processes, refining language and aligning goals with center-wide priorities.
- Drafted new documentation for Power Automate integration and external user workflows, tailored to specific team needs.
🧩 Personal and Administrative Notes
- Managed time off for family medical appointments while maintaining consistent project momentum.
- Coordinated logistics for upcoming meetings, including room reservations and parking permits.
- On a personal note: Jace’s knee has fully healed, and he’s officially cleared to begin practicing again. He also received his driving permit, which has been a proud milestone for our family.
These past two weeks have been a blend of deep technical work, collaborative planning, and ongoing refinement of proposals to better serve ATLAS teams. I remain committed to aligning enhancements with actual team needs and ensuring that every recommendation is grounded in clarity, accessibility, and shared goals.
